HISSA SEGEL

Hissa Segel is a sail charter company. In other words, we hire out yachts with skippers. The business is run as a family company and is a registered subsidiary of Akvedukten AB.

Preparations for the launch of Hissa Segel began in 2004 with the search for a suitable boat and towards the end of that year we decided on a Linjett 40. The boat was built at Rosättra Båtvarv during 2005 and the beginning of 2006, and was launched later that spring.

Hissa Segel works in conjunction with other skippers and boat owners to offer sailing tours for up to 100 people. We are also able to stage match race events between same class boats.

Hissa Segel is managed by Per:
"I started sailing skiffs during the 1960s, progressing to keeled boats during the 1970s and my own boat during the 1980s. Wanting to get a more formal qualification, I obtained my navigator's licence in 1984, which I updated in 2005 to a Merchant Ship Licence Class VIII. In addition to myself and all the genial and experienced skippers we employ, you may also meet or be in contact with my wife Charlotte, who organises the on board catering.

We all look forward to sharing the pleasure and enjoyment we get, not only from sailing, but also from nature, the sea and the archipelago itself.
