Nothing beats the feeling of casting off ahead of a wonderful boat tour. With a little help from an experienced skipper, it's easier than most people think. In fact, it's not unusual for people to experience a sense of well-deserved pride.

Although we tailor your event to your specific requirements, we've put together a few suggestions which you might consider. Our events are suitable for the most widely differing contexts. Do you want to discover the beauty of Stockholm for yourself or perhaps show off the archipelago to visitors? Do you want to encourage team bonding in a management group, do you need a place to stage a kick-off meeting, do you want something fun to do in the company of good friends? Sailing is the answer...

Everyone who wants to, can try casting off, hoisting and trimming the sails, steering, navigating and everything associated with the sailing experience. If you just want to sit back and enjoy, that's good too.

We offer catering services, but if you want to provide the food and drink yourself that's no problem.

ARCHIPELAGO TAVERN

Do you want to organise an event to entertain your corporate guests? Has your entertaining become monotonous? If you want to surprise your guests, we have the perfect alternative.

Take the opportunity to show off some of the finest scenery in Sweden - the Stockholm Archipelago. Give your guests the opportunity to sample a unique natural landscape in combination with an exciting sailing experience. If that's not enough, we can also provide a dining environment with a difference - the sea air gives you an appetite, so food tastes particularly good. It all combines to make an unforgettable experience. We then either sail home again or arrange transport back by fast motor boat.

We pick you and your guests up at a suitable location and adapt the tour according to the time available. The nearest taverns are all less than an hour away...

RACING

Competition can be fun, and this is clearly evident in our match racing events. Groups feel a strong sense of involvement and start to bond together. Unexpected forces are released in the battle for that coveted first place.

Everyone, regardless of their sailing experience, enjoys racing. The boats are fast and easy to sail. With the help of the skipper, your guests will be able to take over the rudder, trim the sails and handle navigation, even if they are complete novices. We sail a racing course that is unique to your event, taking into account prevailing weather conditions, the amount of time available and the location in which the race is to take place. However, at least 3 hours should be set aside for this activity.

Racing is also an enjoyable activity to pursue throughout the sailing season, which runs from April through to December. It gets more exciting if it's cold and there's a biting wind. Don't worry, no-one has to freeze - we've got warm overalls on board.

TEAM BUILDING/KICK OFF

In addition to the sails, perhaps your team also needs "trimming". Although match racing is an enjoyable team building exercise in itself, we can add to the experience by sailing to an island where we can stage other enjoyable activities or kick-offs. We work in partnership with a number of experienced activity organisers.

The activities we offer range from various types of multi-event and team competition to more serious team building, where practical experience is allied with theory. These exercises can be easily interwoven with sailing.

CONFERENCE ON BOARD

Are you planning an important meeting or want to combine a meeting with something a little different in order to show your group appreciation? Combining sailing with meetings on board can achieve results that cannot be matched on shore. We see how participants disengage from their daily lives and start to open up, creating a relaxed and intimate atmosphere. Works for groups of up to 9 people. A laptop PC can be connected to a TV for any presentations you may want to show.

TRANSPORT WITH A DIFFERENCE

Create distance between you and the daily grind - open your senses and enjoy a creative conference in archipelago splendour. Climb aboard two of the finest yachts in Stockholm and glide away from the stress of the big city. Sailing magnifies the effect of a relaxing conference in an archipelago environment. No-one is unaffected. Everyone winds down.

We pick you up from a suitable jetty and set course for your conference location. If you'd rather be unconventional and round off your conference by sailing back home, that, of course, is no problem.

Are you looking for something to do in the company of good friends? Do you just want to get out and enjoy peace, tranquility and beautiful scenery? Do you want to show off the Stockholm Archipelago to visitors from overseas? Do you want to reward someone for all their hard work?

Hire a skippered yacht and tell us what you want to do. Although we find the routes and islands for you, when all is said and done, the wind and weather determine what is a suitable natural harbour.

Start your event either by coming to us at Svinninge Marina (located between Vaxholm and Åkersberga) or we'll pick you up from a location of your choosing. We then set sail for one of the archipelago's beautiful islands where we'll eat lunch or dinner on the rocks, perhaps something fresh off the grill. You'll have time to take a dip in the sea or participate in other activities on or around the island, which we can also help organise if you want. Why not try our inflatable kayaks? You'll get up close and personal with all the islets and skerries. As dusk falls, we set sail for home (if you don't want to stay the night). Spending the early hours of the morning in the archipelago can provide some of the biggest memories of the entire excursion. If you're in a rush, we can arrange for a motor boat pick-up that will get you home that little bit faster.

PRICES

Prices refer to events for groups of up to and including 18 persons sailing our exclusive Linjett 40. For larger groups or other boat types, prices are quoted separately.

Among other things our pricing philosophy means that our customers are rewarded for bookings which minimize transports of boats without guests on board. We pick you up or drop you off at any place in the archipelago where it is possible to drop anchor, so if you are looking for a cruise not mentioned among the examples below, we will easily provide a price for you.

If you want to sail from A to B, you can choose between a fixed price for the shortest route, without any stop or a price for the time you want to be at sea. The latter alternative might be more flexible if you want to include activities or lunch or coffe breaks.
